When we need to repair large areas of asphalt, milling the area is going to be a must. If you don’t have the right tools and knowledge to be able to go through a milling procedure you are would have to look at manual options to try and remove the damaged asphalt. We have the tools necessary to be able to quickly remove the top layer of any asphalt surface. In doing so we are going to have quick access to the bottom layer and start out any repairs that are going to need to be done to the area.
When Is Asphalt Milling A Good Idea?
Could it be said that asphalt milling is just something that you are going to want to do when you have to start over? Yes, and no. What we’ve seen with asphalt surfaces is that people will continue to do minor repairs on really worn down surfaces. The results from this tend to be subpar and when you add up all of the costs for minor repairs you’ll realize that you’ve spent more money than you would have just milling the asphalt and starting over.
Can You Do This On Only Part Of The Asphalt?
Yes, if you have larger asphalt paved surfaces, something like a driveway a parking lot, or even a private road you may only need to repair particular spots. When that is the case we are essentially only going to be providing this service on specific spots. When some people find out that we offer this service they tend to think that we are going to be a bit trigger happy and we are going to want to tear everything down and start over regardless of what your particular needs are. That is just not the case. What we typically do is present different repair options for you and we lay out all of the different potential outcomes. We are not going to be pushing you towards major repairs in any way.
Does Asphalt Milling Make Repair Jobs Slower?
Naturally, if we are going to be removing an entire layer of asphalt the whole process of getting the surface back into decent shape is going to take longer than just filling up a pothole. The problem is many people don’t see that providing a thorough restructuring of the surface is a better long term option than just filling up potholes.
How Large Does The Job Have To Be For Asphalt Milling To Be An Option?
If we are out there making minor repairs, we won’t look at this as an option. Another thing that we want to make sure we clear up is this idea that we will be pushing for major refurbishments. We can literally clear out an area start over if you need us to do that. We won’t be pushing you to get that done though. We can also use less invasive methods to be able to repair smaller issues within your asphalt surfaces.
